Snowshoeing
Whenever you go snowshoeing, your journey will take you through enchanted forests and landscapes blanketed deep in snow. This is all about experiencing and reenergizing together, and learning how important it is to maintain nature in all of its amazing harmony.
This becomes particularly apparent as you participate in guided tours through Hohe Tauern National Park, with highlights including the chance to do some wildlife watching along the way. A different approach to snowshoeing might be a “Full Moon Tour”, with only the moonlight pointing the way through the fabulous nighttime countryside.
Toggoban fun
How about a laid-back sledding expedition that the whole family will enjoy? Actually, tobogganing here looks back on a long tradition, with 5 different sled runs to choose from in the valley alone.
Fun is guaranteed into the late evening hours on the floodlit Alpe Stalle and Leppetal sled runs. If you really are into extended sledding adventures, you are bound to love the 4.5 km Sattel – Antholz natural sledding route.

Ice Skating
What would winter be without fun afternoons or evenings spent with friends or family out on the rink. When you are ice skating or engaged in a passionate game of “ice stock”, any hint of boredom quickly evaporates. This is, after all, the ideal form of winter recreation away from the piste. As a guest of our region, you will find skating rinks in Defereggental, right in St. Jakob, in St. Veit, or in Hopfgarten just 14 km away.
